Syntax - Sentence Structure

Syntax means sentence structure. There are certain rules of sentence structure, which we must know and apply carefully. There are indeed some exceptions to these rules, but these exceptions are also governed by some rules. These rules must be applied keeping in mind their external forms as well as their spirit.

Concord of Agreement

In the rules of Syntax the most important ones are those of Concord or Agreement. Every sentence has a subject, a verb and a predicate. There must be an agreement between these three parts of a sentence. There must be agreement between the PersonGender, and Tense used in the different parts of the sentence.
